Fairground showman Billy Butlin set up his first camp here, while Skegness was one of Britain’s first seaside resort towns - and still amongst the most popular. Beaches, amusements and good old-fashioned fun… no wonder we’re such a family favourite, come rain or shine. But don’t be fooled. It’s not all bucket and spades.
